Back on the estancia and its time for a choripan lunch. Today we had the famous Choripan. Made using the Siete Fuegos or Seven Fires style of cooking. Francis Mallman’s style of open flame cooking. Inspired by the gauchos and European migrants, it has been refined over many years.
CHORIPAN
Choripan is a type of sandwich made up of grilled chorizo sausage in crusty french bread, incredible popular in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Similar to a sausage sandwhich or an american hot dog, the name comes from the combination of Chorizo sausage and crusty bread (pan). Add a little lettuce, tomato and some chimichurri sauce and you have the perfect lunch!
