Don’t cry for me Argentina

I am only a sparrow amongst a great flock of sparrows

Eva Peron

And like that I woke up. Alice followed a rabbit in a waist coat and ends up falling into a rabbit hole entering a magical world of mythical creates, giant pink and purple cats, queen of hearts and door-mouses at tea parties. Similar to Alice I seemed to fall into a wonderland.  A wonderland of argentine life, my days are filled with riding across the sierra chicas to herding cows, cooking lunches, asados, preparing picnics, swimming in rock pools, but like Alice i woke up.

Leaving the estanica behind me like dust in the road, with a heavy heart I got on the bus to Buenos Aires and left it all behind. I am sad to leave but I know the adventure will last with me for a life time. Before I leave for London tonight I have taken a walk around Recoleta.

Without intension I ended up in the Recoleta cemetery, the final resting place for the wealthy of Buenos Aires. I felt it was a fitting place to end my Argentine adventure. Several presidents, scientist where buried here as well as the internationally renowned Eva Peron.

On this night of a thousand stars
Let me take you to heaven’s door
Where the music of love’s guitars
Plays for evermoreIn the glow of those twinkling lights
We shall love through eternity
On this night in a million nights
Fly away with me
